Each residential property receiving Montgomery County provided trash collection is entitled to 5 bulk collections per calendar year for certain types of large household items. Bulk trash is defined as any item too large to fit in a standard trash can or trash bag. Residents must schedule bulk collections in advance with the County. The bulk trash collection will be made between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM on the regular trash collection day. All items must be placed at the curb by 7:00 AM on the day of collection.

To schedule a bulk trash collection, confirm the address has County provided trash service. Then, make an itemized list of all of the items to be collected. Bulk requests must be submitted by 11:59 PM the day before the regularly scheduled trash pickup day by either calling 311 or scheduling online. Residents with private/subscription trash service via an individual or homeowner/community association contract are not eligible for County bulk trash service.
