Notice of Violation Letters or NOV Letters from DHCA

Notice of Violation (NOV) letters are sent out to those landlords who have not completed and annual rental survey, which was due on April 30, 2025. There are two types of NOV letters: one type is sent to multi-family landlords. These have been sent out in batches since early May 2025. Instructions as to how to complete the survey are in the letter. On May 21, 2025, the second type of NOV letters were sent out to single-unit landlords. The title on this letter is Notice of Violation, #SU430, which distinguishes it from the multi-family NOV letter. Instructions are in the letter as to how to complete the survey. In either situation, no penalty will be assessed if the survey is completed by the due date noted in the letter. If you need to find your rental license, click link below. You will need to use the email address on file with Licensing and Registration. If you have forgotten your password for Access MCG, click the 2nd link.

Once you complete the survey, please email DHCA to notify them of the completion along with your license number. [email protected]
