Unemployment Compensation for Federal Employees (UCFE) provides unemployment insurance (UI) benefits for former federal civilian employees. Employees who worked for a private sector employer that contracted with the federal government may also apply for regular unemployment insurance. Employees must have separated from federal civilian employment in the last 18 months to qualify for UCFE.
