Operation Green Light

Operation Green Light is a national collaborative initiative of the National Association of Counties (NACo) to support military veterans with the purpose of raising awareness about the unique challenges faced by many veterans, and available resources to assist veterans and their families. By shining a green light, we let our veterans know that they are seen, appreciated, and supported.

For Veteran's Day/Operation Green, the County's Department of Transportation will highlight Operation Green Light, by wrapping a Ride On bus which will depict the US flag, an outline of veterans and highlights Operation Green. The bus will circulate throughout the County during the month of November in tribute to our Veterans. Additionally, interior bus cards have been placed within the Ride On fleet of nearly 400 buses, with a tribute and a QR code to the Veterans Affairs website and phone number for resources.
