The Montgomery County Public School (MCPS) Annual Back to School Fair is scheduled for Saturday, August 23 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Westfield Wheaton Mall located at Westfield Wheaton, 11160 Veirs Mill Rd, Wheaton, MD 20902.

There is another back to school give away on August 9 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Location is: 12210 Plum Orchard Drive, Suite 214, Silver Spring, MD. 20904, while supplies last. Contact: 240.330.9421. The state of Maryland is offering no tax on certain items from Sunday August 10th through Saturday, August 17, 2024. Some restrictions apply, see link below.

Free summer meals are also being provided at some locations, check the MCPS website for details. Monday through Friday for children under the age of 18. Meals must be eaten at the various locations noted in list.

School immunizations (vaccinations) are free for school aged children through September. Please see KBA entitled: Immunization Clinic Schedule for Children 2025 2026 School Year.
