Voter Registration - Residency Requirements

To be considered a Maryland resident, the voter's domicile must be in Maryland. A domicile is the place that is considered to be the voter's 'official' or 'permanent' home even though it may be different from the place where they are actually living on a short-term or temporary basis. The domicile will ordinarily be the address the voter uses on tax returns or other government documents, driver's license, bank accounts, charge accounts, etc. For questions or concerns, please contact the Board of Elections at: 240.777.8683. The fax number for Voter Registration is: 240.777.8600.
