Employee - Full Scope Temporary Employee Definition

Temporary, Seasonal, Substitute Employee (Class Code Prefix = 50). Position is in a job class predominately encumbered by merit system employees. A full dues deduction will begin after the employee has completed six months of employment when they work 25 or more hours in a pay period. Employee is eligible to receive a service increment after having worked 1040 hours in a 12 month period and receive a general wage adjustment (GWA). Full-time or part-time temporary employees will receive one personal day at the beginning of the leave year following a leave year in which they worked 1,040 hours. A full scope employee may be terminated for cause, or without cause, and without right to a grievance procedure until the employee has completed 1,040 hours of service, in that position, in any 12 month period.
