The Benchmarking Law requires building owners to verify their data prior to submission the first year of compliance and every three years thereafter. All Covered buildings under the Benchmarking Law are required to perform verification, and building owners must report the credentials of the Recognized Data Verifier via Portfolio Manager. Recognized Data Verifiers should use EPA's Data Verification Checklist as a guide for completing verification (omit the water and indoor air quality sections).
