Replace Damaged or Missing Street Sign

Montgomery County Department of Transportation (DOT) replaces street name signs on roads owned and maintained by DOT. For traffic signs (e.g., speed limit, warning signs, crosswalk sign, etc.) the Division of Traffic Engineering and Operations only installs signs on County maintained roadways. If the sign is on a state route such as MD 355 (Rockville Pike), please contact the Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration at 301.513.7300. For street signs on privately-owned roadways, please contact the Homeowner's Association. For City signs, please contact the appropriate municipality. Please provide exact address or intersection and give a brief description of the sign, signpost and damage.
