The status of Permitting Services inspections are located on the DPS web site. The inspection results are generally available on the same day that the inspection is conducted. Go to the Montgomery County Government, Department of Permitting Services Web site. Under the Online Services select Data Search button and : select the option by permit type and number then select the application type from the drop-down menu, and enter the Permit number. Click Search. The option to search by address is available to use if the permit number is not known. Select "Search for permits for a property address" under Data Search and follow the instructions. To determine the status of each inspection, click on the "Inspections" tab at the top of the page. This tab lists each inspection to be conducted and its respective status.

For more information on the inspection status, please call the Inspector. The inspector's name and cell phone number are also displayed. Building Inspector schedules are finalized after 7:30 AM the Day of the scheduled inspection. If an inspectors name is listed when the inspection is scheduled, it may change before 7:30 AM the day of the inspection. However, after 8:00 AM the appropriate information is posted.
