Section 8-23. Appeals. (a) Any person aggrieved by the issuance, denial, renewal, amendment, suspension, or revocation of a permit, or the issuance or revocation of a stop work order, under this Chapter may appeal to the County Board of Appeals within 30 days after the permit is issued, denied, renewed, amended, suspended, or revoked or the stop work order is issued or revoked. Please click on the first link below and scroll to Section 8-20 and 8-23 for further details regarding Stop Work Orders and appeals respectively.

The property owner is not forced to stop construction or demolition work because an appeal has been filed. The property owner may continue to work on a construction project unless and/or until a court issues an order to stop work.
