Eviction Process

A landlord must give 10 days written notice before filing for Failure to Pay Rent. Remember that you cannot be forced to move from your home (evicted) without a court order and in the presence of the Sheriff. Landlords must notify tenants at least six days in advance of the scheduled eviction date after a warrant of restitution has been issued by the District Court.
