If an owner is no longer able to care for a pet, they may relinquish ownership of the animal to the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center where the pet will be considered for adoption to a new home.
Surrendered pets are taken in by appointment only. Please call the shelter at 240-773-5900 first to make an appointment. The Center is located at at 7315 Muncaster Mill Rd., Derwood MD, 20855.
