To apply to serve on a board, committee or commission (BCC), read the information and complete the online application form at link below. Attach a current letter and resume (in one document) to the application form. In the letter, please include: the name of the BCC being applied for; type of position; a statement regarding the reason for the application; applicant home address; and home and work telephone numbers. An email of acknowledgement will be sent to the applicant.
For most vacancies, interviews are conducted by a Nominating Committee of the BCC. Recommendations for appointment are then made to the County Executive. Once appointments are made, applicants are notified of the County Executive's decision. The process normally takes three to four months to complete.
