Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) accepts personal checks as long as it has the customer's name and address imprinted on the check and they are not starter checks. ABS requires a picture ID from Maryland, Virginia or DC, and reserves the right to verify funds before accepting the check. They also accept MasterCard, Visa, Discover and American Express.
