The Department of Transportation, Division of Highway Services alerts residents to upcoming paving operations by a newsletter, website or metal signs that are posted in the neighborhood detailing anticipated start and completion dates. If space permits in the roadway shoulder, variable message boards will state the anticipated work dates prior to starting.

Work schedules will also be coordinated with the County's Regional Service Centers (RSC) in the business districts. The RSC's can assist in notifying businesses of the upcoming work in their areas. Coordinating with the RSC's also prevents conflicts with scheduled community events.
