The Montgomery County Community Action Agency's (CAA) Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will begin scheduling appointments for the upcoming tax season on January 5, 2025. The program will be preparing for the current year (2025) taxes from January 20, 2026, until April 9, 2026. Appointments are for Montgomery County residents with a combined household income of $69,000.

In-person appointments are available Mondays at the Casey Community Center in Gaithersburg from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM; Tuesdays at the TESS Center in Silver Spring from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and at the CAA Rockville office from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM; Wednesdays at the Rockville CAA office from 12:00 to 8:00 PM, Thursdays at WorkSource Montgomery in Wheaton from 11:00 to 4:00 PM and in Rockville from 11:00 to 6:00 PM.
