Transfer Station Questions

Montgomery County operates a Transfer Station where trash and recyclables are dropped off and moved elsewhere for final disposal/recycling. In an effort to minimize exposure of our customers and employees to the COVID19 virus, The County will be modifying the hours of all operations at the Transfer Station. EFFECTIVE MARCH 18, 2020 Temporary Transfer Station Operating Hours are: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Daily. Hours of operation, and information regarding what can be dropped can be found on the designated link below.

The Montgomery County Transfer Station and Material Recovery Facility does not accept waste or other material that is generated from outside of Montgomery County. Commercial/Business Loads must be generated within the County and all contractors must provide verification of job location or county of origin. If you are not able to verify that the material has originated from within the County you will not be permitted to dump.

Residents entering the facility after 5 PM with loads that appear to weigh more than 500 pounds will be asked to return the following business day when the scales are open.
