Resident Counselors are assigned to HOC owned and/or operated housing units, both multifamily and scattered sites, and elderly as well as family units; to other selected multifamily properties; and to the Housing Choice Voucher Program. Counselors provide crisis intervention, service coordination, information and referral, and general counseling services with the goal of helping residents retain their housing, improve their quality of life and increase their level of self-sufficiency. Only residents living in HOC owned or operated housing units are eligible for these services.
