To request Birth, death, marriage, or divorce certificates online please see links below. Be sure to check hyperlinks within for specific information.

Montgomery County does not issue divorce certificates, or marriage certificates, which come from the State (see second link, and check side column for specific certificates). The Circuit Court is the only entity that can grant an actual decree of divorce. Note: A divorce decree is a final judgement from the court, containing information about a case including spousal support, child support, custody, visitation, property division, and other information. Only a court can issue a divorce decree. A divorce certificate or verification is issued by a state's health department or office of vital statistics. The certificate or verification shows that one is divorced, the names of the parties and date and place of divorce.
