The 2015 International codes were adopted by Montgomery County through Executive Regulation 4-15AMII, and are effective as of August 3, 2015. This Executive Regulation adopts the 2015 International Building, Energy Conservation, Mechanical, Fuel-Gas, Residential Code, Swimming Pool and Spa Codes, and the 2012 Existing Building Code, with added Montgomery County amendments.
Customers may submit plans now, and request to be reviewed under the 2015 adopted codes, or reviewed under the 2012 International Code's currently in effect. All currently issued permits, or applications that are entered into the DPS system for permit issuance prior to October 5, 2015 will have the option to remain under the 2012 International Codes.
