Montgomery County Government believes that artificial intelligence (AI) technologies should be adopted in a responsible, ethical, equitable, and strategic manner. The Department of Technology and Enterprise Business Solutions (TEBS) Artificial Intelligence Center of Excellence (AICOE) leads these efforts by evaluating how investments in AI can foster efficiencies, improve decision-making and problem-solving, enhance enterprise security, and boost customer service.

The AICOE coordinates resources to support new AI technologies and processes and creates human-centered policies and guidelines to ensure the safe, ethical, and responsible use of AI for government data. To this end, the AICOE has published an action plan to guide the evaluation, approval, deployment, and adoption of AI solutions within Montgomery County Government.
