Vote by Mail Ballot Request

Vote By Mail ballots will begin to be mailed after they are printed on May 11, 2026. The deadline to request a ballot to be mailed is Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 8pm. The deadline for ballots delivered via web delivered link is Friday, June 26, 2026. Please note that ballots delivered via web delivered link require the ballot to be printed and returned in an envelope with all required identifying information on the outside of an envelope you must supply yourself. If returning the ballot by mail, rather than Drop Box, postage would also be required to be paid by you. However, if needed a voter can request a ballot in person at the Board of Elections until 8pm on Election Day. The Board of Elections is located at 18750, Suite 210 N. Frederick Ave Gaithersburg, MD 20879. All voted ballots must be postmarked no later than June 30, 2026, and received at the Board no later than 10am Friday July 10, 2026. They can also be placed in a drop box, dropped off at the Board of Elections or a polling place, before 8pm on Election Day. If you have not opted to be on the Permanent Vote by Mail list, you will need to have an application on file for the current election to be mailed a ballot.
