Montgomery County Government employees who are represented by MCGEO may access the Sick Leave Bank (SLB) during times of serious illness, significant injury, or hospitalization when they have exhausted their accrued leave. Qualifying situations include temporary disability or circumstances that prevent daily functioning. The SLB is not intended for elective procedures.

MCGEO members are automatically enrolled in the Sick Leave Bank. New MCGEO members have the option to opt out of the Sick Leave Bank within 30 days of gaining merit status.
