The Licensing and Registration (L & R) Office oversees the licensing of residential rental properties located in Montgomery County but not the incorporated areas in the City of Rockville, City of Takoma Park or City of Gaithersburg. L & R also oversees the registration of Common Ownership Communities (COC), Homeowners Associations (HOA), Condominium Associations (COA) and Coops located in Montgomery County but not COCs in the City of Gaithersburg, Town of Garrett Park, Town of Laytonsville, Town of Poolesville, Town of Somerset and Town of Washington Grove.
