Washington Gas will begin a mainline valve replacement in the northwest lane of River Road, south of the intersection with Wilson Lane on Saturday, September 17, 2022. The project will last approximately 4-5 weeks. The right hand lane and the right turn merger lane will be permanently closed during construction. The actual turn lane at the intersection will remain open for traffic to turn right onto Wilson Lane. In addition, bus stop 2001327 on River Road will be relocated to the traffic island just before Wilson Lane.
