To report a suspected fire code violation, please complete the "Community Complaint Report" by clicking on the link below. The concern will be routed to the Fire Prevention and Code Compliance Manager for investigation.
Please note, DPS is responsible for approving the installation of fire alarm systems for compliance with NFPA 72 National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code. Notification devices are required to meet audibility. A fire alarm system in a multi-family dwelling building would need to comply with the NFPA 72 and would be approved and inspected by DPS. If there is a question about the audibility of an alarm in an existing multi-family building, send a service request.
