Notice of Violation Letters or NOV Letters from DHCA

Notice of Violation (NOV) letters are sent to landlords who have not completed the Annual Rental Survey, which is due on April 30 each year. There are two types of NOV letters. The first type is sent in early May to multi-family landlords, and each letter includes instructions on how to complete the survey. The second type is sent in mid-May to single-unit landlords. These letters are titled Notice of Violation, #SU430, to distinguish them from the multi-family letters. Instructions for completing the survey are included in the letter. In both cases, no penalty will be assessed if the survey is completed by the due date indicated in the letter. If you need to find your rental license, click the link below. You will need to sign in with the email address on file with Licensing and Registration. If you have forgotten your Access MCG password, click the 2nd link to reset it.

Once you complete the survey, please email DHCA at [email protected] to notify them of the submission and include your license number.

Online users who have additional questions or comments and would like to be contacted by a DHCA staff member may submit a request by clicking on the Create Service Request button. Please complete all the fields in the Contact Information section and provide a brief description of the request in the Brief Description field.
