All plans for construction or renovation of any food service facility; public swimming pool or spa must be submitted for approval to the Licensure & Regulatory division of HHS (L&R). Additionally, a permit must be obtained prior to operating any food service facility, public swimming pool or spa. Any plan to replace existing equipment in food service facilities and pools require prior approval as well. The Department of Permitting Services should also be contacted to determine if a building permit is also required. Applications can be downloaded, see site below.
