Failure to Renew an Electrical License

Electricians are not permitted to obtain an electrical permit without a current license. Electrical Masters & Electrical Business are given a ten (10) day grace period from the license expiration date in which they may renew with no charge. They may renew their license after that ten day window up to six months after the expiration date, but they must pay an additional late fee of $61.95 in addition to the standard renew fee. Should they not renew for longer than six months after the expiration date, they will have to re-apply for the license with the Electrical Board of Examiners and provide written reasoning as to why the license lapsed and they are reapplying.
