Rent Stabilization Bill with Department of Housing and Community Affairs

The Office of Rent Stabilization (ORS) is now operational as the Rent Stabilization Regulation went into effect on July 23, 2024. A regulated unit may be one that was built at least 23 years before January 1 of the current year and is rented by a landlord who either rents three or more units in Montgomery County or rents at least one unit that is owned by a business entity, such as an LLC, LP, or corporation.
