Public Housing

The Housing Opportunities Commission (HOC) owns and manages Federally-subsidized housing serving families, elderly, and non-elderly disabled individuals. Residents pay 30% of adjusted income for rent. Applications for this program are accepted through HOC when the public housing waiting list is open. Households qualify for public housing by income and are offered housing when units become available. The wait list opened to the general public in August of 2015 and will remain open indefinitely.
