Length of Time to Obtain Procurement Contracts

Most County contracts are the result of a competitive informal or formal County solicitation. Submitting a bid or proposal to these County solicitations provides an opportunity to be awarded a County contract. Each soliciting document will detail the award process for that particular solicitation. Generally, the County has up to 120 days to make an award from the formal solicitation Invitation for Bid (IFB) opening date or has up to 180 days to make an award from the formal solicitation Request for Proposal (RFP) closing date. Registration in the CVRS system only registers a company with County agencies and does not pertain to the solicitation and award process.
