The Licensure & Regulatory Services Division of the Department of Health and Human Services is responsible for inspections of public and semi-public pools in Montgomery County. Indoor pools inspections begin in May and subsequent inspections continue throughout the summer. For indoor and outdoor pools, licenses expire in April. For re-licensure, every pool facility will get a packet and application that should be completed and mailed back. An inspector will set an appointment for the actual inspection.

Private residential pools are only subject to inspection by the Department of Permitting Services when initially constructed.
