The Montgomery County Office of Common Ownership Communities does not have jurisdiction over issues involving only late fees. If there is a lawsuit over this issue, we recommend that you contact the Montgomery County Bar Association at (301) 424-3454 for legal representation. If no further information is requested, a complaint may be filed with the Office of Common Ownership Communities (CCOC). Currently, there is a $50 filing fee for filing a Homeowners or Condominium Association complaint (fees are collected in amounts sufficient to fund the provision of dispute resolution and technical assistance by the program). The CCOC program is funded through registration fees, dispute resolution fees, and fees to developers when documents are recorded.
