The Short-term Housing Resolution Program provides security deposits, first month's rent and additional rental subsidy to allow households in shelter or on the street to move into housing. This is a rental subsidy program only and does not come with case management. Funds are limited. SHaRP offers landlords financial and support services for Montgomery County households who qualify for this support. SHaRP covers the security deposit (up to double the monthly rental amount) and supportive financial services for up to 12 months.
Certain eligibility requirements apply. If a person or family is homeless and/or staying in a shelter, a shelter case manager or homeless services case manager must make the referral.
