An MPDU tenant must not receive more than one rent increase in any 12-month period (the regulation applies to all rental units: MPDUs and non MPDUs). The increase for an MPDU cannot be more than the amount of the Voluntary Rent Guideline (VRG) issued by the County Executive each year. New VRG rates are posted by March of each year.
