Stopping Demolition of Neighbor's House

A Demolition Permit is required before a house can be demolished. Prior to a Demolition Permit being issued, the applicant must post a Demolition Application Notice within three days of submitting the Demolition application to Department of Permitting Services (DPS) and it must remain on the property for 10 days. After the Demolition Permit is issued, a concerned resident may, appeal the issuance of a Demolition Permit by DPS through the Board of Appeals. The Board of Appeals may be reached at 240.777.6600. An appellant has thirty (30) days after the permit issuance date to file an appeal.
