Department of Permitting Services (DPS) handles downed or hanging wires in the public right-of-way.
The Office of Consumer Protection manages concerns and complaints related to cable services and billing practices.
Online users can submit a complaint to TEBS about downed wires and open or damaged cable boxes located in front yards or behind houses and townhouses, not in the public right-of-way, by clicking the "Create Service Request" button below. Please provide your name, address, telephone number, and email address. Additional addresses can be added in the "Brief Description" field if the complaint involves a construction issue.
Complaints about downed or hanging wires in the public right-of-way should be reported to the Department of Permitting Services (DPS) using an online complaint form. Complaints about cable services and billing should be directed to the Office of Consumer Protection through their complaint process. Any instance in which wires are down and present a hazard to the public should be handled by dialing 911.
