To ensure that the County is better prepared to address flooding issues, work is underway on the development of a Comprehensive Flood Management Plan (CFMP), to improve the County's ability to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from flooding. The CFMP will include technical studies, policy, and programmatic components. As part of this plan the County is focusing on areas that may be at higher risk of flooding during major storms. These areas will provide new information about flooding risk in the County.
Information about the flood management process and the results of the studies are available in the County's Flood Risk Explorer on the County's flooding website, see link below. The website also has information about the Comprehensive Flood Management Planning process, existing stormwater management work by the County, and information about how to prepare for flood events.
