The County is required by County Council Bill 1-09, Finance-Spending Disclosure, to provide a searchable website to the public that provides information on County payments. Information is provided for any payee who receives total payments of $25,000 or more from the County in any fiscal year. The information that is provided includes the name of each payee, the zip code of the payee, the name of the department or office making the payment, and the total amount of payments for the fiscal year. The website does not include payments to County employees for salary or benefits, or retirement pension payments to County retirees, which are both excluded from disclosure under the law. The website also does not include any other payments or information that is confidential under state or federal law.
