As of Friday, November 7, 2025, SNAP (food stamp) partial November food stamp benefits (as funded by the State of Maryland supplement) will be issued to eligible people, beginning on November 11th. Households that would have normally received benefits between November 4 and November 10 (with last names AAA-HAX) will receive the state supplement on November 11. Households that are normally due to receive benefits after November 11 will receive their state supplement based on their regular schedule.
Please see links below for updated information and resources for the Federal Government Shut Down and for furloughed workers.
The State will continue to process new SNAP applications. Cash benefits including Temporary Disability Assistance Program and Temporary Cash Assistance will still be issued in November, and Medical Assistance Programs are not immediately affected by the shutdown at this time.
Clients receiving benefits are encouraged to keep their information up to date and apply at Maryland Benefits, to ensure you continue to receive all benefits when the shutdown ends. As the situation evolves, information will be shared as it becomes available.
