In 2019, Montgomery County was designated a priority jurisdiction for the federal Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) initiative, for which the overarching goal is to reduce new HIV infections in the United States by 90 percent by 2030.
The Do It For You 2026 outreach campaign -- which appears on Ride On buses, bus shelters and bike kiosks as well as in a series of digital ads -- is part of the county's EHE plan. The campaign's goal is to encourage county residents to pursue HIV testing, prevention and treatment and to raise awareness about the county's HIV/STI services.
