Code Red Day

The Air Quality Index (AQI) is a measure for reporting daily air quality. A Code Red day is when the AQI is high enough (that is, the air quality is bad enough) that the health of certain individuals may be affected. Please refer to the first link for information on the AQI and its calculation. The AQI forecast for the Washington Metropolitan region can be found in the first link from Clean Air Partners.
