Employee - Commuter Choice Transit Flexible Spending Account Information

The Commuter Choice Transit FSA is for unrepresented and MCGEO employees only. This FSA enables eligible employees (not dependents) to use pre-tax dollars for eligible mass transit pass expenses. This benefit allows for rolling elections; employees can enroll, reduce, increase or stop the election at any time during the plan year. To make changes, please access the Self-Service Benefits in the ESS portal or the online form to update benefits. Monthly maximum is $300 for unrepresented employees transit and parking; $230 for MCGEO employees transit only. Employees who use the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) metro rail system will need to purchase or reload fare cards, obtain receipts and then file a claim for reimbursement. WMATA does not allow the use of the FSA debit card to purchase Metro fare cards or passes.
