All polystyrene (#6-PS) food service products and polystyrene loose fill packaging (i.e. packing peanuts) are not recyclable in Montgomery County, Maryland. Bill 33-20 bans the provision, use and sale of this material in the County. The County's ban does not apply to the local Municipalities in Montgomery County.
