Please note: additional information and approvals may be required, including (but not limited to): State Police for criminal background checks on all employees and staff. State Police background checks can be obtained by calling: 410.764.4501.
Permits will be needed for camp location. Montgomery County Fire & Rescue approval is also required. In addition, a Youth Camp permit from the Maryland State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (contact at: 410.767.8419) will also be needed.
A licensed day care center that wants to change to a camp program must obtain State Department of Health and Mental Hygiene approval.
An application for a recreational camp may be made at: 2425 Reedie Drive, 9th Floor, Wheaton, MD. 20902, between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Monday through Friday. Camp license application can be downloaded from URL below. It takes approximately 30 days to process a license.
