Earned Sick, Safe and Parental Leave

Earned sick leave and safe leave legislation requires most employers doing business in the County to provide earned sick and safe leave to employees for work performed in the County.

Legislation also includes a provision for leave for parental purposes, such as the birth of a child; or for the placement of a child with an MC employee for adoption or foster care, or, to care for a newborn, newly adopted or newly placed child within one year of adoption or placement.
