The County Renter's credit is 50% of the State credit for which there is no application, as the State will automatically forward resident information to the County when one makes application to the State program. The State program provides a renter's tax credit of up to $1,000 for renters who meet the requirements. Everyone who receives the State's renter's credit will also receive the County's supplemental credit, which is typically sent in March.
After County processing, a check will be issued to the resident. State checks are issued monthly, County checks are mailed once a year.
