Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich and the County Council affirm that the County will continue to treat all residents with respect and dignity, and to offer reassurance to all residents that they are safe seeking assistance regardless of immigration status. Therefore the county will not change the way that County Police officers or County workers interact with the public and will not impact how it provides social services.
The County also affirms community safety and trust and denounces anti-immigrant activity, racial bias and discrimination. Further, the county remains steadfast in its commitment to fairness, justice and equal treatment under the law.
